Howdy! I don't have much to say today so I guess I will tell you the story of my return to Phoenix. Anyway, I was suppose to leave Great Falls on the 11th but my plane was canceled, so I didn't get to leave until the next morning. I had to leave very early and since Kendra was at work when I got here I had to take a taxi home.
I'll start at the beginning. My first flight was rather uneventful which is good. The only problem occurred when we were trying to land in Salt lake and it was foggy and cold we had to circle the airport for like 20 minutes before we could land. I just wanted to get off the small plane and go to the bathroom.
Finally we landed, I had to run down this freezing hall of doom because for some reason if you are on a small plane you have to go down stairs and outside. It had to be at least -20 there. As soon as I got in the airport I had to check in with the Delta people to get my seat confirmed. After doing this I ran to the bathroom plowwing people over. (I really walked but I thought I would add some drama)
As soon as I got back to the gate, my plane was already boarding. I was like man I just got here. I really wanted to like get a snack. So no snack and I had to go through the freezing hall of doom which has to be like a mile long. I got on the plane and to my surprise this plane had the same pilot and flight attendant as I had 15 minutes previously. I thought creepy, weird.
All went well, on that flight and I got to Phoenix okay. I walked off the plane and I thought I was going to melt it was so warm. I was freaking out about taking a taxi but I pretended I knew what I was doing. I took my luggage and the taxi people just put it in the car and off I went. I didn't talk to the driver for about the first 7 minutes I was in the car. Then he had to ask me my address again cause he took the wrong freeway exit.
So I told him and he got back on the freeway and I told him I'd never been in a taxi before. I think he thought I was from some foreign place, when actually he was from South Africa. So I talked to him until I got to my place and the total for the taxi was almost $30. Since I didn't take my keys to my apartment home with me I had to be dropped off at the apartment complex office. After getting my keys, I had to walk to the other end of the complex.
By the time I got to my apartment, I was sweating cause it was like 80 degrees. I couldn't believe it. I unpacked and took a nap. O' home sweet home. The next day I was back to school like I never stopped. Only two more years 'til I can get a real job. Until then I will try to have fun, cause supposedly life after school isn't suppose to be fun. In my case, I think life will be fun after school but who knows.
